The 2011 LULAC National Convention is expected to draw over 20,000 attendees throughout a
week of exciting seminars and notable events. Featuring policy workshops, banquets, a job fair, a
three-day exposition, a federal training institute, and the election of LULAC’s national officers, our national convention packs more energy and excitement than any other event in the Latino
community.
We recognize the importance of colleges and universities in the greater Cincinnati area, and invite
you, your staff and students to attend the LULAC Youth and Collegiate Symposium (at no cost)
and the many other activities (i.e. Job fair, Expo) that are open to the public during the conference.
The Youth and Collegiate Symposium provides attendees with information on the many
opportunities that exist in the Federal government. At the Symposium, you will meet
representatives from different Federal agencies that will share information on scholarships,
internships and employment opportunities for your student population and your recent graduates It
is for this reason that we invite and encourage you to share this information within your campus
and others that may be interested and/or benefit from this invitation. We hope that you can join us
at this year’s convention and help us celebrate our 82 years of service to the Latino community as
we seek to expand opportunities for all Americans.
I have enclosed additional information about the LULAC National Convention for your review.
Should you require additional information on the Federal Institute and/or the Youth and Collegiate
Symposium, please contact Sara Clemente, LULAC National Director of Federal Affairs, at (202)
833-6130 or at SClemente@LULAC.org.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Margaret Moran
