Washington, DC – The League of
United Latin American Citizens holds its 3rd
Annual Veterans Summit in San Antonio, Texas.
The summit will be held Thursday, January 24
through Saturday, January 26 at El Tropicano
Hotel. As the leading summit addressing the
needs of veterans, the LULAC Veterans Summit
will draw thousands of participants including
top government, business, military and community
leaders and veterans affairs officials some of
which include The Honorable Alphonso Jackson,
Secretary, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development, Richard Perez, President and CEO of
the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce,
Major General Alfred Valenzuela (USA Ret),
Undersecretary of Benefits, Vice Admiral US Navy
(Ret) Daniel L. Cooper, U.S. Treasurer, Anna
Escobedo Cabral, Lt. General Ricardo Sanchez,

The third annual Community
Prosperity Partnership (CPP) summit is a LULAC
initiative that through our community based
centers serves our nation’s veterans and the
local community in which they live.
LULAC will address issues of
critical importance to U.S. veterans and their
families in a state with over 3.5 million Latino
residents. Workshop topics include healthcare
and benefits, family reintegration, business
opportunities and educational opportunities.
The LULAC expo, health fair,
education fair and workshops are free and open
to the public Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. –
4 p.m. Registration will be held Thursday
between 3 pm to 5pm and Friday between the hours
of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m.
