POLICY
SUMMIT & ADVOCACY DAY
LULAC and MALDEF will
conduct a policy briefing with Members
of Congress, their staff and Hispanic
leaders on Wednesday, February 28, 2007
to address three of our policy
priorities for 2007.
A panel of experts
will be discussing:

Immigration
Focus: This panel will focus on the
immigration debate, the challenges
that Hispanics are facing, and the
likelihood that a CIR bill will be
passed.

Health
Focus: This panel will address
efforts to improve the state of
Hispanic health in the United
States.
-
Education
Focus: This panel will discuss
efforts to grow educational
achievement for Hispanic students,
the challenges they face and trends
in educational policy.
A Luncheon focused on
diversity and leadership within the
Federal Government and Corporate America
will be scheduled following the
briefing. After the lunch, attendees
will be invited to participate in
Congressional visits.
