Resolution - In Support of Ms. Sarah Saldana, Assistant US. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas

WHEREAS, LULAC is committed to the educational, political, social and economical Advancement for Latinos in the United States and its territorial possessions; and
 
WHEREAS, Latinos are severely under-represented in the Federal Judiciary and United States Attorney positions throughout the United States; and
 
WHEREAS, Ms. Sarah Saldana is a current Asst Us. Attorney in the Northern District of Texas where a vacancy currently exists; and
 
WHEREAS, Ms. Sarah Saldana is under consideration for the position of us. Attorney for the Northern District in Texas; and
 
WHEREAS, Ms. Saldana is uniquely qualified for the position given her education, background and demonstrated performance as an effective attorney, litigator and prosecutor. Ms. Saldana has been consistently recognized for her work and has been the recipient of performance-based awards every year since joining the us. Attorney's Office. She has great experience as a Teacher, Federal Employee, Labor & Employment Lawyer and as Assistant Us. Attorney. The Senator’s Evaluation Committee and the local Congressional Representatives have reviewed and assessed her qualifications for the job. Ms. Saldana would make a superb U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas.
