Resolution - Establishment of a Facility to be used as LULAC’s Headquarter in the Washington, D.C. area

The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) being the oldest and largest Hispanic civil rights organization in the United states, there is a need for LULAC to have and own a permanent for its National Headquarters in the area of Washington, D.C.; and,

WHEREAS, Rosa Rosales, the LULAC National President has a burning desire for LOULAC to have permanent headquarters facilities in the Washington, D.C. area; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED that the delegates attending the 2008 National Convention in Washington, D.C. adopt and promote the feasible concept for LULAC to have permanent headquarters facilities in Washington, D>C. by the appointment of explanatory committees in the 50 states of the United States, including the territory of Puerto Rico; now therefore

BE IT RESOLVED that the delegates attending the 2008 LULAC National Convention in Washington, D.C. adopt and promote the aforementioned concept that LULAC purchase headquarters facility in the Washington, D.C. area; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that as to the aforementioned concept, the delegates attending the 2008 LULAC National Convention in Washington, D.C., pass this Resolution; and,

FURTHERMORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, in order to carry out the intent of this Resolution, the duly elected State Directors be instructed to appoint respective fund raising exploratory committees, and that such committees explore the feasibility of developing fund raising projects; and,

FURTHER, BE IT RESOLVED that that fund raising projects’ monies be deposited in a special fund, specifically indentified the purpose of the establishment of a permanent headquarters for LULAC National in the Washington, D.C. area
