Resolution - Affordable Housing

WHEREAS, there is a housing crisis in America, including the lack of affordable housing; WHEREAS, the City Council of San Jose has voted to require affordable housing policy which sets aside 20% of all housing projects for affordable housing; WHEREAS, this would be a major policy in a major city in America and thereby set the example for all major cities in America; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that National LULAC supports all efforts made by Nationwide by cities and other governmental entities to establish affordable housing policies that set aside 20% of housing as affordable housing. Approved this 11th day of July 2008. |
