Resolution - Driver License to All

WHEREAS, it is of public domain that there are close to a million undocumented, unlicensed and uninsured drivers in the State of Florida; and WHEREAS, every member of our community is aware that when a driver properly licensed and insured is involved in an accident with an unlicensed and uninsured driver, the emotional, physical and financial cost is extremely high; and WHEREAS, the State of Florida already grants a license to every person with no criminal record; the safety on our streets will increase, and everyone will be protected in case of accident involving two drivers; and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED to request the Honorable Governor of Florida, Charlie Crist, and the Florida State Legislature to adopt a program to grant a driver license to all otherwise qualified drivers without any restrictions based on legal statement.
