Resolution - Unity

WHEREAS, The League of United Latin American Citizens is the nation’s oldest and largest Latino organization, founded in corpus Christi Texas on February 24, 1929; and WHEREAS, LULAC throughout its history has committed itself to the principal that Latino have equal access to opportunities in employment, education, housing and healthcare; and WHEREAS, the issue of “unity in purpose” and cooperation be encouraged among all existing education systems the traditional public schools, public charter schools, private schools, home schooling and virtual on-line education systems or any other what our Latino families may choose; and THEREFORE, LULAC supports the attached “unity” letter to Reg Weaver, President of NEA signed by Rosa Rosales dated December 10, 2007. Approved this 11th day of July 2008. |
