education; and
WHEREAS, our ultimate goal is
to see that our Hispanic youth along with the
rest of the country reach their fullest
potential in life by providing them with the
best education possible;
WHEREAS, access to higher
learning is one of the key factors that can
bring our Hispanic community closer to the level
playing field that continues to be elusive for
us;
WHEREAS, the late and great
Senator Frank Madla’s dream and tireless efforts
were geared to bring a major University to the
Southside of San Antonio and that dream should
never die until it becomes reality;
WHEREAS, competition is
healthy, and two major Universities in our city
will serve to make up for some of the
educational neglect that our community had
endured for too long;
WHEREAS, Senator Frank Madla
always had his heart in the right place as it
pertains to education. Fulfilling his dream of
Texas A&M coming to the Southside of San Antonio
would be a great honor to bestow upon a great
hero;

LULAC will utilize all of its influences and
energy to make sure that the Texas Legislature
stop playing politics and make the righteous
move to see that Texas A&M becomes a reality.
