COUNCIL 4604 DISTRICT 3 WICHITA FALLS

WHEREAS, LULAC District 3 supports Wichita Falls; and

WHEREAS, discrimination needs to be addressed; and

WHEREAS, the fact that young Hispanic children are targeted by police as gang members needs to be addressed; and

WHEREAS, the children targeted as gang members are bound to an injunction; and

WHEREAS, we stand together against discriminatory actions by the City of Wichita Falls; and

WHEREAS, the discrimination of one Hispanic child is one too many;

NOW, THEREFORE LET IT BE RESOLVED THAT, Council 4604 requests that District 3 and State LULAC representatives pursue an investigation into discrimination issues which not only affect Wichita Falls, but other cities in Texas and in the nation.
