IN SUPPORT OF REAUTHORIZATION OF THE VOTING RIGHTS ACT
 

Whereas, the Voting Rights Act is due to expire in 2005; and 

Whereas, the Voting Rights Act is vital and necessary for the protection of the voting rights of all protected citizens; 

NOW Therefore, Be It Resolved, that the League of United Latin American Citizens actively campaigns for the reauthorization of the Voting Rights Act; and 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that LULAC actively participate in the March of Atlanta, Georgia in support of the reauthorization of the Voting Rights Act on August 2005.
