In Support of Maria
Rodriguez-Salazar’s 500 Run for Hispanic Rights
WHEREAS, LULAC’s mission for 75
years has been to protect the civil rights and
to advance the Hispanic community in the United
States of America and the territory of Puerto
Rico; and
WHEREAS, Maria
Rodriguez-Salazar, LULAC member at large, of
Washington state has led the call LULAC’s
mission in her state; and
WHEREAS as Mrs.
Rodriguez-Salazar will soon be embarking on a
500 mile run in the state of Washington to bring
to front the plights the Hispanic community is
facing in the state of Washington – be it
education, employment, law enforcement and civil
rights.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,
that the League of United Latin American
Citizens supports Maria Rodriguez-Salazar’s
efforts in defending the rights and achievements
of the Hispanic community. LULAC endorses her
noble 500 mile run and supports her efforts.
