Supporting the establishment of a State Commission on Latino Affairs to ensure that Latinos in Oklahoma are justly represented
 

WHEREAS, the Oklahoma delegation in keeping with LULAC’s opposition against English only legislation, policies, and regulations hereby requests LULAC National form a national strategy and effort that facilitates Latinos assistance that protects them from the punitive results of English only legislation, policies and regulations;and 

WHEREAS, the Oklahoma delegation asks to recognize LULAC Council 19003 in its courageous fight against the Altus, OK English only administration policy. We further ask that LULAC National draft and saved LULAC’s letter of opposition towards English only policy in Altus, OK to Altus City officials and to the Governor of Oklahoma;  

NOW THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Oklahoma delegation asks for support to establish a State Commission on Latino Affairs to ensure that Latinos in Oklahoma are adequately and justly represented on issues that impact Latinos in Oklahoma.
