Resolution
Supporting harassment- free
work places in California
WHEREAS, the California League of
United Latin American Citizens has a commitment
to equal opportunity in the workplace and
opposes all discrimination and harassment based
on race, sex, origin, religion, and other
arbitrary criteria;
WHEREAS, AB 1617
has been introduced by assembly member Cindy
Montanez (D-39th A.D.) to define the
reasonable steps an employer must take to stop
workplace harassment;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT
RESOLVED, that LULAC endorses the
passage of AB1617 and commends assembly member
Montanez for this important legislation to
insure harassment-free workplaces in
California.
