Resolution
Recommending a Chavez National
Holiday “March 31st”
WHEREAS, Latinos still do no
have a national holiday celebrating a Latino
figure; and
WHEREAS, Cesar
E. Chavez would be a wonderful candidate for
such an honor for his many achievements on
behalf of Latinos across the United States.
THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, Council 4626 recommends that
Cesar E. Chavez should have a state and national
holiday to be celebrated on March 31st.
