California LULAC Supporting
Our Troops
WHEREAS, the President of the
United States has activated and deployed men and
women of the Armed Forces from areas nationwide
to assignments and missions related to the
ongoing global war on terror and the current
crisis in Iraq,
WHEREAS, the men
and women of the Armed Forces which include
families of the LULAC membership, are dedicated
to defending our freedoms with their personal
sacrifices, in order for us to enjoy the
freedoms so often taken for granted, and;
WHEREAS, through
this resolution, the Latin American Citizens
wish to extend due respect to all our men and
women in the Armed Forces of the United States
and our gratitude to those who are preserving
our liberties;
WHEREAS, LULAC,
being the oldest and largest organization in the
nation, whose one reason for it’s founding was
based on the sacrifices made by men and women in
uniform and the protection of their civil
rights;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT
RESOLVED, that the membership
unconditionally supports and appreciates the
brave men and women of our nation who are
serving in the United States Military, and
wishes them success in their dangerous mission
and a safe return from harm’s way.

at the statewide meeting held on March 22,
2003 in the City of Coalingal, California,
sponsored by LULAC District #11.
