WHEREAS, State of Florida LULAC supports an increase in funding for Workforce Development Education Programs by establishing a fixed price per performance; and

WHEREAS, State of Florida LULAC supports an increase in funding for Workforce Development Education Programs by adjusting targeted population weights to account for hard to serve Limited English Proficient population; and

WHEREAS, State of Florida LULAC supports an increase in funding for Workforce Development Education Programs by setting a district cost differential that would adjust the allocation with a cost-of-living factor in South Florida;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the State of Florida League of United Latin American Citizens petition the Florida State Legislative Branch and the State Governor, Mr. Jeb Bush, to increase rather than decrease or eliminate funding for the Workforce Development Programs.
