RESOLUTION

Honoring Veterans

WHEREAS, The League of United Latin American supports the purpose of fostering and enlarging the opportunities for training, education, civil rights, job opportunities, housing, economic development and welfare of all Hispanic citizens of the United States; and

WHEREAS, the State of Arizona Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) presently levies registration fees on all citizens and,

WHEREAS, our Arizona veterans have served in times of Peace and War and,

WHEREAS, the State of Arizona should honor our veterans living in the state especially those senior citizens veterans on fixed incomes,

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, national LULAC join with Arizona to support the initiative waive motor vehicle registration fees for veterans and that similar initiatives be proposed to honor veterans throughout the country.
