WHEREAS, this nation has suffered one of the most disastrous attacks ever recorded in the history of mankind on September 11, 2001,

WHEREAS, there is serious concern about future attacks and

WHEREAS, the FBI has held the responsibility of protecting the people of our USA,

WHEREAS, the FBI has failed in its job to do proper and legal surveillance and that it is charged with protecting its citizens and

WHEREAS, the FBI is also known to have conducted improper investigations in the past and has abused its authority and

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Texas LULAC calls for the accountability of Attorney General Ashcroft to be cognizant of his dire responsibility to protect the civil rights of its citizens.
