	 Press Release: The LULAC National Women’s Conference Comes To Boston.

	Washington, DC – Financial empowerment will be one of the key issues 
	addressed at the annual Women’s Conference of the League of United Latin 
	American Citizens (LULAC) to be held April 3-4 at the Hyatt Regency in 
	Boston, Mass. Invited speakers include Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis. 
	Conference workshops will cover issues ranging from domestic violence and 
	mental health to civil rights and immigration.  
	“Latinas have made tremendous strides in holding top level management 
	positions of influence but more needs to be done,” said LULAC National 
	President Rosa Rosales. 
	National and local speakers include LULAC National President Rosa Rosales, 
	Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino, Judge 
	Diana Maldonado of the Chelsea District Court, Massachusetts State Senator 
	Sonia Chang-Diaz, Rhode Island State Representative Grace Diaz and Telemundo 
	celebrity Dr. Ana Maria Polo of “Caso Cerrado,” and many others.  
	Local leaders will be recognized at the Saturday breakfast and a salute to 
	corporate sponsors will be featured at the luncheon.  
	On Saturday a Macy’s Spring Shopping and Fashion Reception will take place 
	followed by a taste of Boston reception.   
	“We invite the public to attend our workshops focusing on empowerment, 
	leadership and management,” said LULAC National Vice-President for Women 
	Regla Gonzalez. “We will also be holding a silent auction on Friday.”
