Washington, DC - MillerCoors tapped Betty and Roberto Cordova, known as
“Team Cordova" to participate in its Líderes program, where they will be
offering important leadership advice to the next generation of leaders. As
part of this year’s program, Líderes searched for leaders within Hispanic
organizations who could share their experiences and advice about leadership
on a series of web-based podcasts. The podcasts are part of the Líderes goal
of fostering leadership at all levels within the Hispanic community and
honoring those who have already established themselves as stand-out leaders.
“We are honored that Betty and Roberto Cordova were selected to be a part of
this year’s Líderes podcast series,” said LULAC National President Rosa
Rosales. “Through their participation, we hope to provide useful
professional development tools for future leaders and be able to stand out
for our commitment to the Hispanic community.”
Betty and Roberto Cordova, known as “Team Cordova,” are husband and wife
educators based in Greeley, Colorado, who are actively involved in local
organizations, including their local League of United Latin American
Citizens (LULAC) chapter. In a time when the country has a renewed
commitment to community service, these veteran volunteers will share tips on
how volunteering can help you hone your leadership skills while still making
a difference in your community.
The Líderes podcasts series will offer leadership insight to a wide audience
through topics focused on providing tips and advice on various aspects of
leadership. The podcast themes, which include job interview tips and how to
start your own business, also take into account today’s economic landscape.
Past Líderes, including Betty and Roberto Cordova, will share their experiences and encourage community engagement and business success for up and coming leaders.
“Being able to participate in a program that furthers leadership within the
Hispanic community is a great privilege, especially when it will help young
Latinos become tomorrow’s leaders,” said Betty and Roberto Cordova as one of
the 2008 Líderes featured in this year’s podcast series. “Through this
innovative initiative we’re given the chance to guide future generations
thereby benefiting the Hispanic community as a whole.”
