LULAC to Honor President
William Jefferson Clinton, Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao,
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Congresswoman Hilda Solis
at 10th Annual National Legislative Awards Gala .

Washington, DC – The League of
United Latin American Citizens, the oldest and
largest Hispanic membership organization in the
United States, will honor President William
Jefferson Clinton, Secretary of Labor Elaine
Chao, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and
Representative Hilda Solis at its 10th Annual
National Legislative Awards Gala to be held on
Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at the J.W. Marriott
in Washington, DC.
“We are deeply honored that
these four leaders have accepted our invitation
to be recognized for their work on behalf of the
Hispanic community,” said LULAC National
President Rosa Rosales. “The honorees are being
recognized for their work on disaster relief,
economic empowerment, immigration, health care
and civil rights—five key issues that have had a
tremendous impact on the Hispanic community.”
The Legislative awards were
established to recognize individuals who have
gone above and beyond to support those issues
that are most important to the Latino community.
Attendees include Members of Congress,
ambassadors, federal officials and Hispanic
leaders to honor the award recipients.
Armando Guzman, Azteca America
and TV Azteca will serve as the Master of
Ceremonies for the evening’s events which were
made possible through the support of sponsors
like the Ford Motor Company, General Motors,
Verizon Communications, the Altria Group and
Univision Communications.
Tickets to the black-tie gala

begins with the presentation to President
Clinton, a reception at 6 pm, the awards program
