Washington, DC – LULAC National President, Héctor Flores, received an invitation from President Vicente Fox Quezada for a meeting to be held on August 6th at the official residence of the President in Los Pinos, Mexico City. The meeting will include 40 leaders that work on behalf of Mexicans in the United States.
Hector Flores will be traveling to Mexico this Monday, August 5th with Rick Dovalina, the Immediate Past President of LULAC. They plan to discuss how LULAC can work with the newly restructured Office of Mexicans Living Abroad. They also plan to discuss other subjects concerning the well-being of Mexican citizens that live in the United States.
The US Hispanic leaders will be received by Fox and his cabinet. Flores and Dovalina will return from the meeting on Wednesday, August 7th, and will brief the LULAC Board on the results of the meeting in Mexico.
The League of United Latin American Citizens is the oldest and largest Latino civil rights organization in the United States. LULAC advances the economic condition, educational attainment, political influence, health and civil rights of Hispanic Americans through community-based programs operating at more than 700 LULAC councils nationwide.

Vicente Fox se reúne con presidente de LULAC para tratar temas de Mexicanos en los Estados Unidos
WASHINGTON, D.C. Por Luis Lara.- La Liga Unida de Ciudadanos Latinos Americanos (LULAC) por sus siglas en ingles, recibió invitación del presidente Vicente Fox Quezada para que Héctor Flores, presidente de la organización sin animo de lucro, este presente el martes 6 de agosto en la reunión que sostendrán en la residencia oficial de Los Pinos en México Distrito Federal junto con 40 lideres más de entidades que luchan por los intereses de los mexicanos en los Estados Unidos.
Héctor Flores, presidente de LULAC estará viajando hacia el México el lunes 5 de agosto del 2002 en compañía de Rick Dovalina, ex presidente de LULAC para tratar el tema de la reestructuración de la oficina para Mexicanos viviendo en el extranjero en cabeza de Juan Hernández y otros temas que conciernen al bienestar de los ciudadanos del vecino país en los EE.UU.
Los lideres de la comunidad hispana en los Estados Unidos, serán recibidos por Vicente Fox y su gabinete. Héctor Flores y Rick Dovalina, regresarán a la unión americana el miércoles 7 de agosto, donde entregarán un completo informe de la gestión realizada en territorio mexicano.
La Liga Unida de Ciudadanos Latinos Americanos (LULAC) es la organización de los derechos civiles Latina más vieja y más grande en los Estados Unidos. LULAC busca mejor condición económica, logros educativos, influencia política, salud y derechos civiles de americanos hispanos a través de programas comunitarios en más de 700 concilios de LULAC en el ámbito nacional.
